Matt Gage question

Hey everyone,

Jays fan coming in peace.

A colleague mentioned to me the other day that Matt Gage got called up (briefly appeared for us last year) and that he was injured in the offseason, and somehow added like 9mph to his fastball.

I looked him up but I don't see anything about an injury nor anything about extra zip on his 4seam.

Any merit to what I was told?
