Man dumps huge amount of RAT POISON in my yard for my dog to ingest.

Sending this out as a warning and to be vigilant. Guy came around midnight, tore off my ring camera and then proceed to dump rat poison into my from lawn area. Luckily i caught my dog before he ate a lot. We went to the vet to get him treated. But this points towards malicious intent, other than the police what options do i have to pursue this legally?
