Make your predictions…

Make your predictions since at this point all we can do until April is speculate what the organization will do. Might as well make things a bit fun and see who got what right. Chances are all of our predictions with be 100%. But hey, why not…

Texans vs. Titans: WIN (17-14)

Dupree and Simmons are hurt. 3 of their offensive linemen are out and they have a rookie tackle playing. Yes, they’ll hand it to Henry but Henry needs a functional OLINE and he won’t have one. Additionally, it looks like he’s on a pitch count. They only gave it to him 17 times against the Jags and only 21 times and against the Chargers. I think he gets 110 yards on 20 carries.

Draft:

My heart wants us to trade down but it isn’t likely. If Nick has his say I think he would either pick Anthony Richardson or even Will Levis. Sadly, I think Cal will want to appease the fan base and will let tell Nick that the first overall pick has to be Bryce Young. I want so much to be wrong, but everything points to Cal forcing Nick’s hand so he has to get Young.

Coaching

As much as I want both Lovie & Pep gone I think Lovie stays another year. The narrative seems to have shifted to keep Lovie another year just recently. Plus, Cal doesn’t want to fire 2 back-to-back block head coaches after just a year. We have looked good against the Cowboys and the Chiefs, plus we will either win against the Titans or look good losing. We’ll look good losing to the Colts too. This will likely be enough to keep Lovie for 1 more year. Plus there will be 6 other HC openings and the draft capital and cap space may not be enough to wash away the stink of the past few years.

Pep will be replaced. I think it could be a temporary promotion from within. I don’t think Pep even wants to be here. It’s clear his scheme requires a running QB and that’s why he keeps using the XFL-like QB-by-committee system. The only time in the NFL he was an OC other than with us was with Luck. Davis Mills isn’t a mobile QB and even though Bryce Young can move, but he’s not as athletic as Pep wants. Plus, Pep is just God -awful and unlike Lovie no one will blame Cal for getting rid of Pep. We’ll either see a temporary promotion from within or a no-name will take the job.

What are your predictions? I’d like to hear your reasoning as well.
