Mainstreet renewals property management company – Anybody leasing from them?

I just signed a lease to rent a new home in Missouri City from them and its already has been a nightmare trying to get the utilities situated in our name.

Not able to get any information about existing utilities and on top of that there has been a conflict with the power/electricity account transfer. So far we have spend close to 25-30 hours dealing with this mess and still not one utility account has been taken care.

I have been reading about them being the worst property management company, in other cities, all over the country. Now I am worried about maintenance nightmares in future when we will live in this house.

I am wondering if this is the time to pull the plug and cancel the lease by disputing with them. We paid using credit card so it will be an easy cancel of money transfer by disputing the charge. Cancelling lease will be a mess but we can go to small claims court to take care of that due to breach of contract in terms of managing the essentials in this leasing process. Not sure about this though.

Anyone else currently renting a property from them in Texas?
