MadMax:Memorial Drive

So I guess Memorial Dr just belongs to the Mad Max cult after dark. No HPD, no troopers — just engines revving like it’s the Indy 500. Should I start handing out popcorn to the neighborhood? Between the helicopters at night and the engine-worshiping dudes, I just hope the Leslie Briones park she promised over I-10 ends up being pedestrian-only. Anyone have any updates on that project?
