Lululemon enters the resale market

Lululemon is launching a “re-commerce” program to collect used items for resale, part of a larger sustainability effort by the athletic wear merchandiser.

A pilot trade-in program will begin in May in California and Texas and resale in the same markets in June, the retailer said. The program may expand in the future based on guest feedback.

Eligible products must be in “like new” condition, and customers using the service will receive a Lululemon e-gift card. All of the profits from resale…
