Low cost haircuts for women

Can anyone suggest places that are not too expensive for a women's hair trim but won't ruin my hair? My regular place costs $70 each time and they do a fabulous job. However I have thin hair that needs a trim every 8 weeks or so to keep the ends from breaking and looking shaggy and I simply can't afford to spend $70 that often. I just need a maintenance trim every so often at a cheaper place. If you know places within the city and can even suggest particular hairdressers at those places I'd be so grateful.
