Low cost dog blood panels

I took a senior dog in 2 months ago. week later I had a sudden ache in my mouth and had to have a root canal, then I my car was totaled by a driver with no license or insurance. My car is a salvage title so no coverage and no uninsured motorist, so I get to pay for the car. I think my dog may be suffering from diabetes or a thyroid issue, so I really need to find a place to do senior blood work and a thyroid panel, but I don’t have the $300 my usual vet wants for it. Not to mention if he does have a problem I will be spending much more than just the panel cost. County clinics and all mobile low cost vets I’ve seen do not offer it. Any suggestions? I’m over by Spring, but I can make a drive for the right place
