Love Houston but IAH is a nightmare

I love Houston and thought IAH would be just like Houston, a wonderful place that offers a world class experience, but that was not the case. Traveled internationally last month from IAH and I would say DFW is miles better. Decided to park and then go to the terminal to check-in. Available parking is in another terminal and since we had multiple big bags, we could not use the underground rail system to move between terminals. Instead we had to walk what seemed like miles pushing large heavy bags and then move up and down multiple floors in small elevators (was this made for ants?) just to get to the check in area. Finally we get to the boarding gate and the floor looks like they just poured concrete on it and forgot about it.

When we returned, the pick-up area was another nightmare. Barely 10-15 spots for pickup and filled with tons of people. To top it all off, there was construction going on and the makeshift ramps were horrible. I have been to many airports in my short lifetime and I have never experienced this much stress at an airport. Thankfully, the people in the security check and the check-in area were so friendly which helped relieve some of the stress.

Thanks for listening to my TED talk.
