Lots of closures in Midtown

The last few months Midtown has seen the closure of Whole Foods, Ola Cafe, Gotham Pizza, and this past month 3 closures in the plaza on McGowen and Brazos (Jimmy Johns, Magic Wok, and PokeBurri). Ola Cafe people told me they were closing do to property owner doing a new development in that area. I heard from someone who works at Coaches Pub that Gotham Pizza's owner won like a million dollars and stopped paying rent for a few months before passing away. Anyone know why Jimmy Johns, Magic Wok and Poke Burri all closed within a couple weeks of one another?
