Looking to solo-travel for remote work and to explore Houston

I'm a video editor and want to explore Houston for about a week later in October. I was thinking of staying in an Air BnB close to downtown. I was considering working 3 days and exploring the other 3. I'm into art, museums, some nightlife, good food and just want to ingrain myself in the city's culture as best I can. Would you recommend this neighborhood or somewhere else? Thanks for any insight!
