Looking to move

Wife (22f) and I (25m) are moving to south Houston (Ellington air base) and trying to find out where to live. We are not big on city life, and prefer to buy a house out in the “country”. We are okay with commuting up to 30ish minutes to work if the home/area is worth it. I currently own a home in San Antonio but will sell it soon (hopefully). We will be moving June 2024

Where would you recommend someone look to fit our criteria?

Budget – $450k

Travel – 30ish minutes from Ellington Air Base

Scenery – Country/quiet
