Looking to make friends

I just recently turned 26, and I’ve only been here in Houston for about a year, and I thought it would be nice to have some friends locally for both me and my partner (also 26), and I was wondering if there any places or events I should go to this upcoming weekend to make friends, I am planning on going to a Farmers market on Saturday, and I did do some looking on Meetup and Eventbrite, but there’s so many options that it’s a little overwhelming.
