Looking to adopt poodle mix

I'm looking to get a poodle mix for allergy and size reasons. Barc and SPCA are 80% bullies. Are there poodle rescues in Houston? The one named Poodle Rescue of Houston doesn't seem active anymore. I can afford buying from a breeder but would prefer to adopt/rescue.
