Looking for Restaurant Recommendations ($$-$$$)

In town from Los Angeles with my mom until late Friday. I had been receiving treatment here since January and have just come in for a scan and check up but thought to try some new restaurants while I’m back in town.

We like all kinds of cuisine but to give some background on where we’ve been I’ll list below!

Kata Robata, Uptown Sushi, Uchi,

I’m sure there’s more but open to all suggestions! Particularly BBQ and southern food! I’ll be coming back every 3 months for a week so plenty of time to try them all! I’ve scoured the “top restaurants of Houston lists” so I figured I’d turn to Reddit lol
