Looking for jobs, any advice on where to apply in Houston?

Specifically Administrative Assistant, data entry, or IT. I have some experience doing software, desktop and networking support for vet practices through a vet software company, and experience as a vet assistant/receptionist for many years. No degrees or college education. I'm F, 27 years old.

I applied to tons of City jobs since Jan, but havent heard from anyone, job board just shows my apps are being considered since Feb. I don't wanna go back to being a vet assistant or receptionist as its high stress and low pay (under $18/hr)

Does anyone have any other recommendations? I also applied to more general roles like HEB cashier, Apple, Micro Center, only Apple got back to me, got a second interview but unfortunately didn't get the job since I don't have much sales experience…
