Looking for hiking recommendations in Houston…

I come from NYC area, and we have lots of mountains and beautiful trails with waterfalls, creeks, nature, animals, etc. In the NJ side or an hour drive upstate.

On Google maps, I can't find anything similar to this. Are there any visually pleasing hiking trails in Houston where you can spend a day on?
