Looking for community

I'm a 31 year old dude who recently realized my depression stems from lack of community. I am literally and physically a giant nerd. I'm a tall guy who is big into fantasy and scifi books, DC comics. I listen to Pop punk, midwest emo, post hardcore and metalcore and of course sad country music. I enjoy DnD and ren fairs and I keep good hygiene. I am also an accursed cowboys fan (I know, I know). I lack community because I seize in fear at the idea of trying to approach people in public social situations and probably because I am a cowboys fan in Houston. Long post but looking for anyone with similar interest to try and find my community or anyone to casually drink a beer with.
