Looking for comfy hangout spot in WestU/Rice/Montrose etc.

So, once a week my hubbie and I have a babysitter taking over so we can go out. But we're not hungry in the evening and we don't drink much. We like bar games but what we're really looking for is something that feels like our living room couch. Low key, nothing fancy, affordable beer and comfy. WestU, Rice Village, Montrose, Bellaire, all those areas work for us but we can't drive too far because we'd lose too much time otherwise. And we need to be inside – we're not from Texas and can't handle this heat without A/C, lol. Y'all got any ideas for us?
