Looking for a semi-formal restaurant for a birthday dinner (Heights or Midtown Preferred)

I'm looking for a nice place to take my wife for her birthday, coming up. She doesn't want anything too formal and we want something nicer than t-shirt and jeans, but also doesn't require something like a blazer/sport coat. Heights area or Mid-town would be preferred. $35-$55 a person would be ideal.
