Looking for a restaurant in downtown Houston for 2 couples

Good evening everyone. I live more closer to Woodlands and I have an easier time finding places for friends/couples. However, this Saturday we are going out to a piano bar downtown and want to find a place closer down there for dinner.

Quick google searching brings up a ton of expensive type of restaurants… I am more looking for a place that isn't a price fixed and has a good amount of selections, maybe mostly American fare. Our favorite restaurant in Woodlands is "Jaspers", if you can use that as an idea.

Our budget is around 25-35 per person for entrée, and we could always get appetizers to share.
