Looking for a place to rent, but I have poor credit

I've been trying to find a place within my price range ($700-750). Most places I've seen I can afford with ease, but of course, I have bad credit. Most places won't accept a higher deposit from me, and a co-signer isn't possible. I was hoping for something within the North Houston area, but I'm pretty desperate at this point.
