Looking for a helpful bike shop inside the loop

I’m a 32 year old father who is putting on a sever age dad bod. I’ve got a nearly two year old son who I want to be in good shape for when he REALLY starts running around. I was hoping I could buy a bicycle before summer starts and hook up one of those kid seats to the front or back and take the boy for a cruise every now and then. Hopefully shed a few pounds while im at it.

Im looking for a bicycle shop that won’t be too judgmental about me being an almost complete novice when it comes to what type of bike I’m looking for, or that I primarily want it so I can strap my kid into a seat on the back and get some exercise. Any suggestions?
