Longtime honkey tonk Firehouse Saloon closes

Firehouse Saloon has closed its longtime location permanently, according to a Facebook post.

The honkey tonk at 5930 Southwest Freeway had existed for 28 years, showcasing country music stars like Miranda Lambert, Toby Keith, Blake Shelton, Billy Bob Thorton and more.

The business, which had been temporarily closed since March, will move to a separate location outside of city limits, maybe in Montgomery County, owner Tom Imber told the Houston Chronicle.
