Lone Star College hires first chief diversity officer

Carlecia Wright has been hired as Lone Star College’s first chief diversity officer. 

Wright, who took the position Feb. 15, was previously vice president of strategic partnerships and business development at BiasSync, a company that helps manage bias in the workplace. She has also been chief diversity officer for the city of Houston’s Office of Business Opportunity, as well as director of operations and policy adviser for the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development.
