Local companies/orgs with a good work-life balance

I recently started a new job in local government and am finding that the work-life balance is really lacking. Long hours, no remote options, no flexibility. I was pretty mislead about the progressiveness of the workplace in my interview.

Anyway, I’m wondering if there are companies in Houston known to actually implement flexible scheduling, remote options, etc.
