Local art subscription startup, Artender, making original art more accessible

Hey there! I posted this replying to someone who wanted to discover local art/artists in Houston.

A local startup, Artender, helps artists gain more exposure for their unutilized work. If they have extra pieces laying around they can submit them to Artender, and the company will place the art on walls around Houston. Each month the painting is in circulation the artist receives a cut 10% of subscription and 70% of final sale.

Their model is built around businesses/personal homes subscribing to original art anywhere from $100-$500/month. You can go on their site, pick out a painting or artist you like, subscribe and they'll deliver the painting right to your door. After 3 months you have the option to buy the painting outright or they'll deliver a new piece that you pick out.
