Living alone in houston as a woman
I've never felt so frustrated. I moved to houston for college. I currently live alone in an apartment in midtown, and I'm walking in eggshells every single day just trying to do basic things. I can't go to a single fast food joint without being hawked for money or followed to my car. Just yesterday, I went to gas up at the only gas station I'm able to go to without feeling threatened and a homeless man appeared in front of me as I was putting my card in the machine asking to talk to me for a second and forcefully touching me before I had to get in my car and shut the door. He then spit on my window as I drove off. I feel so frustrated and completely alone. I don't even feel safe where I live.
