Live music venues

The last kid is going to college and we are retiring! Woohoo! Now we have time to enjoy more nights on the town with live music. We are looking for intimate, low-key venues, and we don't want to be the only older people in the joint. We've been going to Dosey Doe in The Woodlands, Main Street Crossing in Tomball, and some of the local wineries. We'd like to venture out into the city. What do you recommend?
