Life long Browns fan here respectfully checking in.
Unfortunately, what I didn't want to happen actually happened. As an Ohio State alumni, I usually join the subreddit of any team that drafts a Buckeye to keep up with their progress. Among all the subreddits I've joined, this one has been my favorite by far (the Redskins sub was the worst, in case you were wondering, f**k them forever). You all embraced CJ and got excited about him even before he threw a pass. It has been a joy for me to witness your support for this team, and you have made me a true fan.
That being said, I have been a Browns fan since birth — seriously, I have baby pictures of me wearing Browns gear, lol. It hasn't been easy to be a fan of this team, and sometimes I've wanted to curse my dad and family for making me a Browns fan and forcing me to endure years and years of painful football. This has been a remarkable year for the Browns. It's unbelievable that they even made it to the playoffs, considering the adversity they had to overcome. I was really hoping we would not meet in the first round and would have loved to route for you guys to shock the Dolphins or Bills. But the Dickhead Steelers had to go and ruin that, and now I have my two teams playing each other. ( It was probably more the Jags/Titans fault but… f**k the Steelers)
So, before this weekend and all the emotions that come with a playoff game, I just wanted to say cheers to all of you in this sub. I will, of course, be rooting for my Brownies, but I will be doing it without the usual contempt for the opposing team. Whatever the outcome may be, I will be rooting for the winner of this game the rest of the way!
Here's to a great game and continued success for both the Browns and the Texans in their future endeavors! Go Browns! And best of luck to the Texans!
