LGBT couples in Houston?

Would any LGBT married couples be willing to provide insight on living in Houston? Thinking about coming to be closer to family. But I’m wondering if we’re crazy to consider coming to TX. We also have a newborn.

Have always found the city friendly. But with state level political concerns would it be a terrible idea? I work in healthcare and partner is a teacher.
