Levy Park is great

That's pretty much it. I'd never really spent any time there, because that area has always felt too fancypants for me, but Itopped by just now before a meeting and it's got as much life on a Thursday night as Discovery Green on a Saturday – and I love Discovery Green. I like that there are more park-friendly and park-oriented casual food options, plus you can get a drink. And I like that it has a lot of residences nearby. I think it's the closest thing I've experienced in Houston to a European or Mexican plaza. But with live oaks.

(Downside: four "street tacos" and an admittedly massive jamaica agua fresca ran me $18 before tip. But it's Upper Kirby, so what can you expect? They were perfectly decent, just expensive. And the music was good.)

Anyway, just wanted to share that. I'd love to see some of our smaller parks (lookin at you, Elizabeth Baldwin Park) activated to more of a plaza feel.
