Let’s talk furniture stores
Namely, which one had the best or worst gimmick or slogan?
Mack’s “Save you money” is of course the classic, often imitated. Though the “back-back-back order” days were rough.
“That’s a Fact Jack” – what does this even mean
Bi-Rite had a bean bag gimmick for years, as I recall they wore bean bag suits and left bean bags outside to gather every species on mold native to this area
“Where LOW PRICES LIVE” – basically same inflections as Gallery. Giving a dwelling to abstract objects such as prices is troublesome too
My favorite is from the late 90s, don’t even remember the name of the place, but the very low production value commercials would randomly cut in to morning programming. The guy literally said “Save More Money” with the exact same inflections as the Gallery commercials. I think he was holding cash as well.
