Let’s Not Panic About the O-Line

Yeah, I get it. Some BS went down at the cut deadline revolving around our interior O-Line. Dieter got cut, Kenyon’s done for the year, Scruggs could miss two games and we gave up a lottery ticket pick for a guy Steelers fans swear is horrendous.

Let’s not freak out… yet. There are still two weeks before the regular season starts and there’s reason to believe that we will take more than 8 O-Linemen into the Ravens game. Kenyon may have been placed on IR but he was technically among the final 53. With him out, we get to replace him. We’re second on the waiver wire and have enough money to sign a free agent like Dalton Risner if we desire.

There are numerous possibilities for the next two weeks. We could sign a new FA. We could pick someone up off waivers. Hell, we could even bring Dieter back since cutting and resigning guys has happened.

Let’s not freak out and panic over the potential line now. If a week passes and this is still all we have, then maybe we can start to freak out over it. For now, let’s just not overreact.
