Left abusive relationship, where can I get a car?

Hi reddit, thank you in advance for taking the time to read my post. I have been stuck with an abusive partner for about four years now, three months ago a lady with no drivers license, insurance, or a job totaled my car. My car was a salvage title so I did not qualify for full coverage and I did not have uninsured drivers insurance. I have been trying to leave this guy for a while I wanted to wait until I had it my own car again but unfortunately I had to leave a few days ago because he freaked on me and it was not safe to stay any longer. Everyone is telling me to sue this lady but that’s not going to get me the money I need to get a car right now I’ll be lucky to see a dime from that within the next few years if I did sue. I have $3000 right now I’m not sure if I should just buy a cheap car or get one financed. I’m 21 and do not have credit yet. I don’t want a place that will kill me with the APR. I’m not sure which one would be more worth it and faster. I just need something to get me to work and back so I don’t loose my job as well. Suggestions? Opinions? Other options? I’m in Spring technically if that helps any. I make on Average $400 a week I am living with my grandparents right now and they told me I don’t need to pay rent right now so all of this will go towards car
