League City awarded county funds for Hobbs Road extension

League City City Council voted unanimously at its Oct. 8 meeting to accept $2 million in funding from Galveston County to extend Hobbs Road and realign Cemetery Road.

Seeing the videos and photos of the Milton evacuations reminds me a little of the Rita evacuations of Houston in 2005. Anyone that lived in the Houston area in 2005 surely has a Rita story. And it’s likely one that they’ll never forget. Here’s mine:
