La Colombe d’Or Hotel in Montrose to reopen in winter with new restaurant, bar

The boutique hotel was built in 1936 as the Fondren Mansion and is undergoing a $10 million, to-the-studs renovation to update the nearly 100-year-old building. It’s also adding a 34-story multifamily tower.
