Kluge Stormwater Detention Basin – How to Access?

I am wanting to do some walking and birding at the Kluge Stormwater Detention Basin in Cypress, between Kluge Rd. and Longwood Trace Dr., but I can't figure out how to access the area. I thought I'd be able to drive in on the road at 29.983664, -95.623650, but it was gated and locked.

I'm definitely down to park somewhere nearby and walk to get in but I don't want to trespass any of the surrounding property to get there.

Any tips from those who have visited before?
