After Kim Roxie, founder of Lamik Beauty launched her business in Houston, she received a letter asking her to participate in career day. Pulling up to the school that day, Roxie realized this was the alternative high school she attended after getting kicked out of high school. This time, she entered the school doors as a successful businesswoman, against all odds as this school “never had anyone who had [gone] to that alternative school actually be a part of their career day.”
