KHOU parent Tegna to implement furloughs
Tegna Inc. (NYSE: TGNA) said April 6 it will implement weeklong furloughs in the second quarter. The Virginia-based broadcasting company owns KHOU 11 in Houston.
Dave Lougee, president and CEO of Virginia-based Tegna, said in an April 6 email to employees that although TV stations have seen big gains in audience on all platforms, “many businesses have decreased or in some cases pulled their current advertising and marketing campaigns because of COVID-19,” the disease caused by the new coronavirus.
