KC BBQ is overrated as all hell
Went to KC for a weekend on the way to a conference for work.
Hit Arthur Bryant’s, Joes, and “the Q” or something like that.
All overrated. Sauce all over everything, the brisket was chewy. They had to cover everything in sauce to make it taste good. They have to over shred (like in a food processor shredded) their pork because it’s not cooked long enough.
Ribs were good, but compared to anything in Texas, (or personally my favorite ribs are in St. Louis) they weren’t anything special.
Like. Texas BBQ all the way. It’s not close. Go Texans.
