Jury Duty at a Justice of the Peace court?

Has anyone done jury duty through Harris County at a JP court?

Last time, my summons was to the court downtown and I received a text the night before telling me the case was cancelled.

Do they still send out text messages and do they do that for the JP courts?

What was your experience if at the Justice of the Peace court? This one is on Chimney Rock.
