July Electricity bill – ughh

So just got a $650 electricity bill. Granted we used 3,568.00KW this is still double what we paid last year..
This is with energy ogre signing us up for the best plan when we renewed in June. I guess this is the best it's going to be for a while?

I'm tempted to sign up for a cheaper 3 year contract with a low termination fee ($100-200) and if it goes down in price I can just cancel for cheaper than this high rate at a 1 year contract.

What are you guys doing with contracts renewing?
