Join the Houston Book Club!
Hey guys – my friends and I started a book club over five years ago; I am making my yearly post to gather more members. If your plan is to read more books for this year, please join us!
We read one book a month, each week we finish 1/4 of the book and discuss it on the Houston Discord on Monday night through voice chat. We meet up the last Sunday of the month to discuss the book IRL over brunch and drinks.
There's no real commitment, join and be active any month you want.
We just started our January book! We are going to be reading Wool (#1) by Hugh Howey. An exciting Sci-Fi thriller.
Each month has an assigned theme. Popular ones are Fantasy February, Murder May, Horror October, Non Fiction November, etc.
When you join the Houston Discord, go to the #roles channel, scroll up and click on Book Club, and whatever other roles interest you!
The Houston Discord is not only a great way to meet fellow readers but also other Houstonians. We have a gardening channel, fitness, food channel, and tons more.
There is meet ups weekly, impropty daily meet ups, and just overall a great place to be if you are trying to be social and get out more.
