job recommendations? / new to houston

I just moved here about a month ago and i’ve been searching for a job and have had no luck. i was looking for something in marketing, but realized most of those jobs are scams. I even interviewed for a scam job. Thought it was going to be marketing and turned out to be door to door phone sales to low income areas? Anyways, i’m tired of the scams. I don’t really want to work fast food, that’s all i have experience in. I have a high school diploma. I’ve applied to sooooo many jobs on indeed and it seems like nobody wants to get back. Any tips?
