Job hunting as an 18 year old during the pandemic

Just wanted to get some feedback on this. I am an 18 year old high school senior going into college and started looking for a job right before the pandemic started to get worse. I was wondering if I should even be making the effort to look for a summertime job given the circumstances that we are unfortunately in.
