Jacoby Jones: Unchecked High Blood Pressure – A Public Service Announcement

I went to the game on Saturday and was shocked to hear of the passing of Jacoby Jones. After the short memorial I had to read up on how he passed away and do you know what he passed away from? Hypertensive cardiovascular disease from long-term high blood pressure. Basically he died from unchecked high blood pressure.

This is just a public service announcement to ask you to go check your blood pressure. They don't call it the silent killer for nothing. You can have high blood pressure and not show any symptoms and it can be causing irreparable damage.

You can get your blood pressure checked for free at some pharmacies that have testing machines, your doctor should be checking it if you have regular visits but I highly recommend checking your blood pressure regularly. High blood pressure is easily and affordably controlled. It doesn't have to kill you. You can prevent it.
