Issues with Customs at IAH

My family and I are looking to take a trip to Italy in October – one of my family members is a permanent resident (for 20+ years), everyone else on the trip will have a US passport. No past criminal history. Wanted to ask if anyone has traveled internationally and had any issues getting back into the US as a permanent resident? We’re just a bit nervous given the unpredictability of this administration. Thank you!
