ISO Mitsubishi Mechanic

TLDR: looking for a Mitsubishi mechanic that won't rip feminine people off! West and Central Houston preferred.

So, I'm soon to be living on my own without a dude taking me to a mechanic, and as I present femininely, I worry about being ripped off or being told that I have to replace things that have no need to be replaced to just be overcharged. It happened one time right after I bought my brand new car many years ago. When I went to a mechanic by myself, they told me I immediately needed to replace the brake pads and change the oil. I took the car with a guy friend to someone else for a second opinion, because I was skeptical, and lo and behold I didn't need to change my oil for another 3 months, and I didn't even have to replace my brakes until nearly 9 months later. Unfortunately, I went back to this mechanic by myself for something else, and they tried to trick me at this place as well. Took my guy friend to the location again just in case, and they told him a completely different answer. Of course.

I'm worried that since I'm going to be living on my own, mechanics are going to take advantage of me. There's a woman-owned body shop near me, but they only work on European cars! So, with that, I'm at a loss. If there isn't one in West or Central Houston, I'm willing to go a bit further in case. Hoping for something near me though, and anything helps. Thank you in advance.
