Is there anywhere to catch and keep fish that is reachable from the Clear Creek area?

I live in the Clear Creek area, and I'm wondering if there's anywhere I can go to catch and keep fish that I can feel safe eating. I grew up elsewhere on the gulf coast and my dad and I would regularly fish inland salt/brackish for trout/reds/flounder, and also would drive north and fish freshwater for bass and perch, and we'd keep them and fry them up for dinner. I'd like to continue catching, cleaning, and eating fish around here if possible. I've been doing some reading and I'm a little discouraged because it seems like all the water around here contains dangerously high levels of pollutants (mostly PCBs and dioxins) and it's recommended that you not eat the fish from it, or at most one 8 oz. serving per month (yikes, not eating that).

That being said, anyone wanna share their favorite spots that are within a 2 hour or so drive of Clear Creek?
